Fish Taco's, "The Bridge" and and a fantastic Oregon welcome - July 23rd Day 6 (58.31miles)

BAY CENTRE, WA - ILWACO, WA - FORT STEVEN STATE PARK, OR

Our sixth day on the road was awesome. We started off in beautiful sunshine and the weather remained the same all day. It was also the day we crossed the border between Washington State and Oregon, a minor achievment in the grand scheme of the trip. It also meant crossing "The Bridge" with it's imposing 400ft climb.

After some incredible fish tacos in pictaresque Ilwaco, we ventured on to Fort Steven State Park for freshly cooked tuna and salmon. Ron and Sharon, too seasoned tourists from Salem, OR, treated us to an old fashioned cook out and we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
